A Retail Program
That Runs Itself

Tail Bangers is a women-owned, SQF-certified manufacturer of all-natural gourmet dog treats, supplying retailers across the United States by direct store delivery. For 23 years we have served everything from single-door shops to national chains.

What makes us different is not just what's in the bag. It's the program behind the display: ordering, invoicing, delivery, and replenishment, all run by systems we built and operate ourselves.

What Does the Program Handle?

Five capabilities, fully managed by us.

01

Chain-Custom Ordering

Your catalog, your way. Each partner sees its own setup: your UPCs, your SKUs, your item descriptions, your case packs. No translation spreadsheets.

02

Automated Invoicing & EDI

We invoice the way your accounting team expects, automatically. Chain-formatted invoice emails, or full EDI through a major retail network, on schedule without manual touches.

03

Delivery Intelligence

Every order ships with live tracking, and our systems use carrier delivery estimates to time paperwork, so invoices land when the product does, not before.

04

Replenishment Monitoring

We watch ordering patterns store by store. When a location is overdue to reorder, we see it and act on it before the display sits empty.

05

In-Bakery Execution

A dog bakery display only earns its space if it is executed well. We manage in-store setup and verify it with photo confirmation at the store level.

One platform, one point of contact

Why Dog Treats Belong in the Bakery

Dog treats have historically been shelved in the pet aisle, where they reach only shoppers who came in to buy pet supplies. Moving them into the bakery changes who sees them. A frosted dog donut sitting near the human bakery case reads as a small gift, and it gets picked up by shoppers who were not thinking about their dog when they walked in.

That is why this is one of the fastest-growing additions to in-store bakery departments, and why it works without the usual costs of a new program: one-year shelf life instead of daily shrink, no baking or equipment, and a few square feet of aisle space rather than a reset.

We introduced the program to the grocery bakery trade at IDDBA, the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association show, where it drew strong interest from bakery buyers looking for a new category that does not add labor.

Training your team never has to schedule

Everything an Associate Needs, on the Cart

Every cart carries an asset tag. An associate scans it and gets these videos, each about a minute. Always on the cart, always current, and no training session to schedule, so it still works for a new hire six months after rollout.

See the Training Page Or call 877-725-2469 and we walk them through it.

Questions Grocery Buyers Ask

What is the Tail Bangers in-store bakery program? +

Tail Bangers supplies all-natural gourmet dog treats to grocery, pet, and specialty retailers as a complete in-store bakery program: a branded display cart, the treats that fill it, and the ordering, invoicing, direct store delivery, and replenishment systems behind it. It is designed to add a profitable pet category to the bakery department without adding labor or equipment.

What makes a dog treat program profitable for a grocery store? +

Three things. Our treats carry a one-year shelf life, so the shrink that eats margin in a scratch bakery does not apply. They need no baking, prep, or equipment, so there is no added labor per store. And because the cart sits in bakery aisle space rather than the pet aisle, sales come largely from impulse purchases by shoppers who did not come in for pet products.

Does it add labor, baking, or training for store staff? +

No baking and no equipment. Treats arrive finished and shelf-stable. Training is video driven and lives on the asset tag attached to each cart, so any associate can scan it and see exactly how to stock and merchandise the display, including new hires long after the initial rollout. The videos stay with the cart, so a new hire six months in sees the same instructions as the opening crew, without a training session to schedule. You can watch the actual training videos here: setup, restocking, cleaning, and ordering, each about a minute.

Where does the display cart go, and how much space does it need? +

In the bakery section, in aisle space, where shoppers are already browsing. The cart is self-contained and takes a few square feet, so adding it does not require a category reset or a fixture change. Placement in bakery consistently outperforms the pet aisle because it reaches dog owners who were shopping for something else entirely.

Which retailers carry Tail Bangers? +

Carts are live in about 90 stores across three grocery chains, spread across 90 cities rather than clustered in one market, with additional regional chains onboarding now. We also ship through a grocery distributor and a major online pet marketplace, and we are represented by retail brokers. We can share the specific chains, divisions, and references in your market on a call. The same program runs for a single-door independent as for a multi-store chain division.

How do you handle warehouse shipments and pallets? +

We are direct store delivery. Product goes straight from us to each store's back door receiving, with no warehouse or distribution-center step in between. That means no pallet handling on your side, no DC slotting, and no waiting on an internal transfer before the display can be stocked.

How long does shipment take? +

Orders ship FedEx Ground from our facility in Delaware, so transit time depends on your distance from Delaware and runs standard FedEx Ground delivery days. Every order includes live tracking so your team knows when to expect it.

Do you support EDI? +

Yes. We transmit full EDI through a major retail network, either batched by delivery date or as an individual document per delivery. If your team prefers plain chain-formatted invoice emails instead, we support that too.

Where are Tail Bangers treats made? +

All Tail Bangers treats are made in the USA at our own SQF-certified, women-owned facility in Delaware. We manufacture what we sell, which is why we can stand behind both the product and the program.

Bring the program to your stores.

Whether you are a national chain evaluating an in-store bakery addition or an independent retailer placing a first order, it starts with a conversation.
